Facebook Groups for Grief and Bereavement Support
Organizations: SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration)
Call Toll-Free 1-800-662-4357
Provides referral service for substance abuse and crisis intervention.
Good Grief
Check with your local counseling center and ask if they provide grief counseling.
Also be sure to check with your local church, hospice provider, or community hospital. Hospice provides bereavement and grief support (usually in the form of grief group classes; individualized grief counseling may be available on a limited basis) as a benefit to the patient's family after their loved one has died while in their care.
Psychology Today
They have a list of behavioral health professional providers in your area and can help match you with a counselor.
Grief and Bereavement Resources for Children and Youth
Finding suitable age-and-developmentally-appropriate grief resources for your children and adolescents can be a challenge in some under-resourced areas. Your child's pcp or your local Department of Health and Human Services can help you in your search.
